A Time for Rejection, A Time for Acceptance
Though I don’t generally pass along email forwards, one I received last night truly inspired some thoughts on writing.
It’s a visual presentation based on a well-known Bible passage from Ecclesiastes 3, which begins, “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven,” (you know the one).
While this presentation might have been circulating around cyberspace for several years already, it’s the first time I’ve seen it.
My favourite part of the passage is undoubtedly, “He has made everything beautiful in His time.”
What a wonderful inspiration for those of us who are writers: there is a time for rejection, and a time for acceptance.
Until my season of acceptance arrives, I’ll wait patiently for Him to make my work beautiful.
In His time.
